Diana began painting commissions in 1991 and since then has drawn a wide range
of portraits of people and pets for many clients all over the globe. The subjects
of her pastel and painted artwork are mainly people and animals.
Having two distinct styles, she decided to display her artwork on two separate
websites. The work you can see here is created using the pastel pencils she
prefers, as they are a very flexible and forgiving medium. Diana's other work
can be seen on her cartoon site: www.scribbler.org.
In 1980, Diana became interested in bodybuilding and that interest has persisted, even though she is no longer involved with the sport which dominated her life for some sixteen years. Her interests and activities are now much broader, encompassing (amongst other things) general fitness and sport, dance, ice skating and martial arts and, latterly, hooping.
Whether the subject of a commission is a much loved pet, a child, an adult, a family group, or an athlete in action or in repose, the same attention to detail and care is taken with each work, so that you will have a piece of art you will feel proud to give as a gift or delighted to display in your home.
Thank you for taking the time to look at Portraits by Post.
If you would like to contact
the artist or commission a portrait, Diana
would be delighted to hear from you.
